Dr. Janie Unruh has a PhD in Public Health with an emphasis on the link between diet and lifestyle and disease. She is a Health Consultant in lifestyle & whole, vegan, raw, living foods; a Public Speaker & Cooking Class Instructor; a Certified Program Director for Nedley Depression & Anxiety Program; a Certified Hydrotherapist; and with her husband, is in the process of building a Health & Wellness Education Center in Kamloops, BC, which has been in operation since 2021. Her health journey started while serving in the United States Army for 7 years where she trained as a field and hospital medic. For over 25 years, Dr. Janie has had a passion for scouring current and past research on how diet affects health, giving sermons, and through private practice consults with clients to regain their health through diet, lifestyle and natural remedies. She has traveled to 40 countries with many of these trips as a medical missionary giving health classes, cooking classes, bible studies on health, and starting health programs. She’s just returned from a mission trip traveling around Kenya, Africa for 2-1/2 month teaching the spiritual application of the health message. 

She taught diabetes and chronic disease reversal through a whole food, plant-based diet, and lifestyle medicine found in the bible. Her diabetes and chronic disease program became the model program in 3 States who were out to find the Best Practice. Dr. Janie’s unique motive for teaching what she does stems from the untimely death of her husband from cancer after 40 days of marriage and 12 years of atheism. She deeply desires to help others to prevent from going through the pain of losing a loved one prematurely as she experienced. Dr. Janie gains much satisfaction from not needing to see a client anymore because they have regained their health.
